Welcome
Whether floating lighter-than-air, soaring like a bird or rocketing to the stars, dreams of flight captivate us universally. The Flight Club after-school enrichment program uses aviation and space flight to stimulate students' imagination and excite them about science, engineering, history and general aviation. Each class emphasizes fun and interactivity with hands-on and minds-on activities and critical thinking exercises that challenge and inspire students to expand their knowledge of how their world works, its history and future, and about the universe beyond.

Flight Club is an exciting new aerospace-based after-school enrichment program being introduced at William "Bill" Roberts K-8 School in the Stapleton neighborhood of Denver. The program uses the universal excitement of aviation and space exploration to teach and inspire students while reinforcing underlying values of respect, cooperation, responsibility, self-esteem, education, courage, compassion, resourcefulness, leadership, passion, beauty and joy.

footnotes
Flight Club is still developing so content areas listed above and class descriptions will change over time.
Although certain classes will contain knowledge areas required for the ground school and flight training requirements for a Sport Pilot, Private Pilot or other FAA Airman's Certificate, the instructor is not accredited to provide FAA certified training and the training is intended only as an introduction for possible future FAA certified training.
Students and parents are explicitly informed that this is in no way formal training for any flight operations other than small-scale model rocketry and small-scale model aircraft.
