Borland pan
This panorama isn't quite as interesting as the others.

It's a vertical panorama overlooking the river we hiked along near Borland Lodge. If anyone knows the name of the river or the trail we were on, please offer your comments.
This was day 3 of our adventure, after we had spent the night at Borland Lodge. We had prepared to hike up to Green Lake that night for an overnight stay in the hut, but Regan decided to cancel it due to worsening weather. As can be seen from the image, it was a heavy overcast not far above us.
But this little substitute hike was nice, just 2 hours pretty much all downhill as I recall. Except for Jenny who opted for an endurance run up the hill and back down and then around the nature trail at the end a couple of times. I got tired just thinking about that. Cheers to Jen for being in such good shape!

Gotta love that clear water! My friends find it hard to believe we drank directly out of streams on some of our hikes.
(Dane I think I messed up posting a comment here before and ended up sending an E-mail to you instead - doh!). For the record I am NOT in great shape but it was very nice of you to say so. It was definitely a mind over matter thing I was going stir crazy from the lack of walking and long drives after the West Coast wilderness trip (same hiking company - another fab trip) where we did loads. Sheffield (where I live) is a very good place for fell running being right next to the Peak District so when the weather gets a bit better (it's freezing at the mo) I may just take it up. Or maybe even a half marathon if my knees can stand it? Bye for now....
Maybe I should change it to "Cheers to Jen for not going completely mental on us"...
